Does the rice trick work?
No. Rice dries the surface, not the board — corrosion carries on underneath. Switch the phone off, do not charge it, bring it straight in.
Is it still worth repairing?
We can tell you once it is open. If the repair would cost more than the phone is worth, we recommend data recovery instead.
